ADVENT CAROL SERVICE AT QUIDENHAM
this evening at 7:00pm in the Convent Chapel with the choir from East Harling parish church under a new leader. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Cowshed.

ADVANCED NOTICE OF CHRISTMAS DATES
This year we will have our Carol Service on Monday the 21st of December at 7:30pm followed by mulled wine and mince pies etc. in the Small Hall. On Christmas Eve (Thursday) there will be a family Mass at 7:00pm and Midnight Mass will be preceded by carols starting at 11:40pm. On Christmas Morning there will be the usual Sunday Mass times of 9:30 and 11:30. Please remember that there will be no evening Mass.

EXTRA CONFESSIONS IN ADVENT
In place of an evening penitential service (lots of you prefer not to drive in the dark) I will be offering a longer morning of confessions (10:30 till 11:00) and an additional hour in the afternoons (3:00pm till 4:00pm) on the last two Saturdays before Christmas, i.e. the 12th and the 19th. Please do take advantage and be reconciled with the Church and the Lord.

'ASSISTING SUICIDE' - YOUR CHANCE TO SPEAK
As you may know, there is a relentless tide of media and secularist pressure towards the decriminalisation of assisting someone to commit suicide. Although this is an emotive issue, it is important that the absolute value of every human life should be defended. The DPP has launched a consultation process and you can be a part of that. To make your response go to www.cps.gov.uk/consultations/aspolicy.html or phone the Crown Prosecution Service on 0207 796 8000 and ask for a copy of the consultation document. Advice on what you should mention in your response can be found on the Bishop's Conference Website at www.catholicchurch.org.uk Please do make the effort to have your say. Communications Technology has made it easier than ever, so please do have your say.
