DIOCESAN CELEBRATION OF MARRIED LIFE
As you will have seen from the posters that have been up for a while, there will be a Mass followed by a reception at St. John's Cathedral for all married couples on Saturday the 28th of June at 11:00. All details are on the poster. Please let me know if you are planning to attend and are celebrating a significant anniversary around this time.

MAGGIE NYLK
is very grateful to all who sponsored her cycle ride - and is looking to collect in the last few monies owing. The list is still on the table at the back of the church.

DARING TO DANCE
on the 30th June at 7:30pm - A Palestinian Youth Group from a Bethlehem Refugee Camp is visiting St. Louis Middle School and will give an internationally acclaimed performance of 'Dabka' as well as a presentation of 'Dreams of Home' inspired by the situation in Palestine today. Entrance is by ticket only available in advance from St. Louis (01284) 753495 - Adults £2.00, Children 50p.

THE CONFIRMATION GROUP
will be meeting on Friday evening the 4th of July at 7:00pm in the Presbytery. Please note that we have a definite date of Friday the 10th of October (at 7:30pm) for Bishop Michael coming to celebrate this sacrament with us.

MISSION APPEAL
today we welcome a preist from the White Fathers to preach an appeal. I apologise that this comes at the start of a 'run' of second collections, but we have to accept the dates that they choose out of the ones we suggest.

THE BIG ONE
Our main Diocesan Youth Event is on the 29th of June at St. Benedict's Upper School in Bury St. Edmund's. This includes some competitive games, live music and a barbeque. If you would like to go and form a parish team, then please speak to Fr. Simon. Thanks.

FR. SIMON AWAY
I will be in Merville during this coming week with the priests of the Diocese on retreat. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday Fr. Mac will be saying the 10:00 Mass, and I am very grateful to him for supplying while I am away.
